We aim to comply with applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Website and sales enquiries: we decide how data you send us through this website (for example the demo form) is used.
School data in the Services: each school or institution that uses CampusConnect decides what data about its students, parents and staff is entered and how it is used. We process that data on the school's behalf and on its instructions. If you are a student, parent or staff member, please contact your school first about your data; we will help the school respond.
2. Data we collect
On this website
- Details you submit in the demo or contact form: name, institution, role, phone, email, city, number of students, product interest and your message.
- The page you submitted from and campaign tags in the link (UTM parameters), so we know which pages are useful.
- Basic technical data that web servers record, such as IP address, browser type and time of request, kept in server logs for security.
This website sets no cookies for tracking or advertising and loads no third-party trackers or analytics. If you open the demo form, it is served by our own platform (my.campusconnecthub.com) and only sends the details you type in. Your browser may keep campaign tags from the link you followed (UTM parameters) for the visit, so we know which page brought you to the form.
In the Services (on behalf of schools)
- Student and parent details such as names, class, contact details, attendance, fees, results, homework and other school records.
- Staff details such as names, contact details, attendance, leave and payroll information.
- Payment status and references for fee payments. Card and bank details are handled by the payment gateway, not stored by us.
- Location of a school bus while a driver has a trip running (from the driver's device), shown to the school and parents on that route.
- Device and usage data needed to run the apps, such as push-notification tokens, app version and signed-in devices.
3. How we use data
- To respond to enquiries, arrange demos and provide quotes.
- To provide, secure, support and improve the Services for schools.
- To send service messages such as notifications, receipts and OTPs.
- To comply with law and protect the rights and safety of users.
We do not sell personal data and we do not use school data for advertising.
4. Sharing
We share data only with service providers that help us run the Services (for example hosting, SMS, email, push-notification and payment providers), under contracts that require them to protect it; with the school that owns the data; or where required by law.
5. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), role-based access, audit logs and other reasonable safeguards. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data we will notify the school and authorities as required by law.
6. Retention
Enquiry data is kept as long as needed to respond and follow up, and then deleted or anonymised. School data is kept for as long as the school uses the Services and as instructed by the school, subject to legal retention requirements.
7. Children's data
Student data is processed for schools, which are responsible for obtaining any consent required from parents or guardians. We do not knowingly collect children's data through this website.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law you may ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, or withdraw consent. For school data, contact your school; for website enquiries, contact us using the details below.
